Who Cares?

Have you ever felt like your life has turned into a repetition of what’s comfortable? Have you ever felt like your identity has been lost in the role of being a Mom, Dad, Provider, Caretaker, etc.? Have you let stress, finances, family, or kids dominate your time with no time for your passions? Have you dreamed of becoming a musician, rockstar, or other artist yet that dream now seems too far away? Have you held off on pursuing those passions because of what others might think? If you can relate to these pitfalls, then the Bad Dad Guitar lifestyle is right on time.

Follow Your Passions, No Matter What!

Don’t give up on what your passionate about, no matter what others might think!

About Me

After 25 years in the mental health industry, being a devoted husband, father, and business owner, I realized that my identity had become so wrapped up in helping and supporting others that I had little time left to pursue my passion for music. I started to notice how being a “Dad” can become stereotypical one day as I was people watching at a theme park in Texas. How many of these Dads pushing strollers, dragging kids through the park, and taking orders have a passion that was lost? And… Even if they did pursue a passion of say – playing the guitar, would their wife and kids criticize them or thinks its stupid? And let me be clear, this is not just about Dads! Moms, you fall into this dilemma as well. It may even be the bane of our existence as humans to fall into a stereotypical role. I made a decision that day to pursue a new way of looking at life. To follow my passions no matter what anyone else thinks. I’m certainly not perfect at this, that’s why I want to share my experiences with others in hopes of creating a movement that promotes healthy self expression and pursuit of happiness.

Five Minutes A Day!

One of the concepts I found that makes a significant impact on my ability to stay focused on what I’m passionate about is commitment to daily activity. When life gets stressful, stop what you are doing and do what you love for five minutes. Do you have five minutes to do what you love. Can you commit to doing what you love for five minutes a day? Even when I don’t feel like it, I have made a commitment to playing the guitar five minutes a day and it has made drastic improvements to my guitar playing skills, but more importantly to my overall wellbeing.
